Mental health services in many African countries remain inaccessible due to high costs, social stigma, and a shortage of qualified professionals. Many individuals suffer in silence due to a lack of culturally sensitive therapy options. Beyond Self was created to bridge this gap by offering a digital solution tailored to the African experience.

Validation
This was one of the most complex and rewarding projects I’ve led. As the design lead, I oversaw the entire design process; from research to final handoff, ensuring every decision was grounded in user needs. I guided the team through user interviews, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing. One key accomplishment was developing a design system that improved team collaboration and ensured consistency across the platform.
